Panasonic (CX-411D & CX-411E) Beam Type Photoelectric Switch and Sensor in Lahore Pakistan

Panasonic CX‑411D & CX‑411E (CX‑411) Thru-Beam Photoelectric Sensor

Product Overview

The Panasonic CX‑411 is a compact and reliable thru-beam photoelectric sensor system, consisting of two separate units:

  • CX‑411E (Emitter)

  • CX‑411D (Receiver)

Designed for dependable object detection through the interruption of a red LED beam. It achieves long-range sensing (up to 10 m) with selectable Light‑ON / Dark‑ON output modes, making it perfect for automation, material handling, and safety applications.

Key Features

  • Long-range detection – Up to 10 m for opaque objects, ideal for large installations

  • Fast response – ≤1 ms for high-speed automation tasks.

  • Visual feedback – LEDs for output status, stability, and power indication simplify troubleshooting

  • Adjustable sensitivity – Dial on receiver enables precise tuning

  • Interference prevention – Allows closely mounted sensors without cross-talk

  • Durable & industrial-ready – IP67 protection with a robust construction suited for harsh environments

How to Use (Installation & Operation)

  1. Mount the Sensor

    • Install emitter (CX‑411E) and receiver (CX‑411D) facing each other across your detection zone. You may use optional brackets for precise positioning.

  2. Connect Wiring

    • Provide 12–24 V DC to both units. On the receiver, wire the NPN output to your controller (PLC, relay, etc.).

  3. Configure Mode

    • Set the Light‑ON or Dark‑ON mode via the switch on the receiver according to your detection logic.

  4. Adjust Sensitivity (Receiver)

    • Use the built-in potentiometer dial to fine-tune sensing performance.

  5. Testing

    • Power the system. Ensure the orange LED lights when the beam is unbroken (or broken, depending on mode). Test by interrupting the beam with the target object.

  6. Fine-tuning & Deployment

    • Adjust position and sensitivity for consistent detection. Use interference filters if mounting multiple sensors within a 5 m radius.

  7. Maintenance

    • Periodically clean the lens and check mounting integrity to ensure reliable operation.

Ideal Applications

  • Conveyor systems & packaging lines – Detect presence, count items, or control flow.

  • Safety mechanisms – Beam interruption can act as a safety trigger or light curtain.

  • Robotic positioning – Detect part orientation or presence in assembly stations.

  • Harsh industrial setups – Especially suitable where oils, coolants, or dust are present due to its durable housing.
